As several elementary schools mixed together at Shuksan middle school in the fall of 1972 Cathy and I were assisgned as locker partners.  That day began a lifelong friendship and throughout middle school and high school we were inseperable!

So many things about Cathy are worth mentioning...she was funny, loving, loyal and kind to name a few.  Our time in the band together was awesome - always competing for the first chair (or first five or so chairs) in the flute section, the really great Friday nights on the football field; trying to always remember who you are following so as not to mess up the cool band designs at halftime!  A few months before she went on to meet Jesus face to face we laughed about being called "Laverne and Shirley" at school (you know, the short one with dark hair and the tall one with brown hair and always up to something...)!

We were involved in each others weddings and Cathy had her first child the same summer I had my last.  She raised a great family.  Although her death was in God's perfect timing, it was far too soon for me and so many others.  Cathy was loved.
